The Tree Lighting Festival is a weekend comprised of events run by groups from Amherst.
A group could be a club, organization, local department or business located in Amherst or owned by a resident.
Each group has full charge of its own event.
Groups are encouraged to publicize their own event individually.
The ATLF schedule will be also on social media, in the local paper and flyers around town.
Each group is autonomous, makes its own decisions, has control over its own event and provides its own:
Funding (some events are free, some are not)
Publicity
Insurance if needed
Location
Parking
Personnel
Decorations
Signs
Supplies Food
Music
Cleanup
Etc.
Each event is funded and run independently by each group.
There is no town appointed committee, no town budget, no town funds.
This is an annual opportunity and tradition for the town of Amherst to band together to create wonderful experiences and memories.
